Description: A buffet of ministries training: Learning to serve your family, church, and community. Training will be provided for pastors and laypersons in the following ministry areas: Children's Ministries, Community Services, Family Ministries, Health Ministries, Personal Ministries, Prison Ministries, Sabbath School, Women's Ministries, Voice of Prophecy Discover Bible School, and Youth Ministries. Certification will be offered in the areas of Children's Ministries, Family Ministries, and Women's Ministries. This event is offered in partnership with the North American Division.
Who Should Attend: Any church member, ministry leader, or pastor wanting to enhance his or her skills in ministry and spreading the gospel.

Registration Fees: All registration fees are per person. The adult registration fee will include all event materials, convention attendance and meals as listed below. The Youth registration fee will include convention attendance and the number of meals registered for. The child registration fee will include attendance to the supervised activities and programs and the number of meals registered for.
Adult (18-over): Will include all event materials, convention attendance and meals.

Refund Policy: You may request a refund minus a 25% processing fee through August 7, 2008. After this date no refunds will be given. If you cannot attend the event you may substitute someone to attend in your place.

Lodging: Hilton Anatole, 2201 Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75207. You are responsible for making your own lodging arrangements. Reserve a room online using this link to receive the rate of $99 per night up to 4 per room. You may also call 1.800.955.4281 and use the code "Southwestern Ministries Convention" to receive the same discount. You may check-in at the hotel from 4:00 pm on. This rate is good for reservations made on or before August 8, 2008. Parking is free for registered Hilton guests. Event attendees who are not registered at the Hilton may have their ticket validated for free parking.
Meals: You will receive Sabbath breakfast, lunch and a light supper, and Sunday breakfast with a full event registration. You will receive Sabbath lunch and a light supper with a Sabbath Only registration. Please take care of special dietary needs on your own.

Nearest Airport: Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas Love Field Airport
Ground Transportation: Shuttle service is provided from the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport by Yellow Checker Shuttle for $19 one way. This service is provided continuously outside the baggage claim area through 6:00 pm. You may call (214) 841-1900 after 6:00 pm to schedule a pick-up. Please use taxi service if you use the Dallas Love Field Airport.
On-site Registration: You may register and pick up your event materials on Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 2:00-9:00 pm for the Children's Ministries, Women's Ministries, or Family Ministries certification training. You may register from 2:00-9:00 pm on Friday, August 22, 2008 for the regular session. On-site registrations will be taken while space is available by paying $149 with cash, credit card, check or money order made out to the Southwestern Union Conference.
Children: All children must register at the fees listed above. Supervised activities and programs for children ages 0-9 will be provided during this event.
Dress: Casual; Sabbath.
